The body of a 38-year-old transient was discovered in a former Rapid Transit District repair garage in the 14500 block of Sherman Way in Van Nuys, Los Angeles police said Sunday.
Police Sgt. Alfonso Rodriguez said the man, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was stabbed in the upper torso. Officers found the body about 6 p.m. Saturday in a bay of the former garage.
Police knew of no motive for the slaying and had not identified any suspects, Rodriguez said.
