PREP ROUNDUP : Capistrano Valley Christian Wins in Baseball

Mark Wilson had three hits, including a solo home run in the seventh inning, to lead Capistrano Valley Christian High School to a 6-3 victory over Southern California Christian in a nonleague baseball game Thursday at Southern California.
Isreal Hogue had three hits, walked twice, scored and had an RBI for visiting Capistrano Valley Christian (4-0). Southern California Christian is 2-2.
In other nonleague baseball:
Santa Margarita 3, Santiago 2--Roberto Muniz homered for visiting Santa Margarita and Marco Perez had two hits for Santiago (6-4).
Fallbrook 15, Laguna Beach 6--Fallbrook had 18 hits, scored five runs in the first inning and six in the seventh and took advantage of five errors by host Laguna Beach (1-7).
In nonleague boys’ tennis:
El Toro 11, Mater Dei 7--Host El Toro (6-1) won six of nine singles sets.
Fountain Valley 12, Mission Viejo 6--Eddie Weiss swept, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0, and Scott Sugino swept, 6-2, 6-3, 6-2, to lead visiting Fountain Valley (6-1).
Westminster 10, Buena Park 8--Host Westminster (2-4) was led by the doubles team of Todd Kawashima and Mitch Okura, which swept, 7-5, 7-5, 6-1, to improve to 16-2.
Woodbridge 17, Foothill 1--Victor Ro and Darren Isaacman swept, 6-1, 6-0, 6-2, to lead visiting Woodbridge (5-2).
In nonleague volleyball:
Westminster 3, Tustin 2--Dave Rall had 21 kills, Vince Tauanuu added 17 kills and Vu Chau had 45 assists for visiting Westminster (3-1) in a 15-3, 6-15, 15-11, 6-15, 15-12 victory.
Edison 3, El Toro 1--Daryl Ayers led Edison (3-0) to a 15-12, 12-15, 15-13, 15-8 victory.
Servite 3, Cypress 0--John Fraher had 11 kills, 14 assists and four blocks for Servite (1-4), which swept, 15-11, 17-15, 15-11.
Valencia 3, Santa Ana 1--Jeff Rick had 14 kills to lead visiting Valencia (5-3) to a 9-15, 15-9, 15-13, 15-10 victory.
Santa Barbara 3, Ocean View 1--A back injury to Ocean View’s 6-7 middle hitter Lee Quinn forced him out in the third game after 17 kills and nine blocks. Santa Barbara won, 10-15, 15-6, 15-9, 15-11.
Esperanza 3, Mater Dei 0--Jason Galeener and Brian Johnson had nine kills each for visiting Esperanza (7-0) in a 15-2, 15-2, 15-10 victory at Mater Dei.
In nonleague badminton:
Estancia 16, Long Beach Poly 3--Hoang Ly won two singles matches (15-4, 15-2, and 15-0, 15-0) and his mixed doubles match (17-14, 15-2) to lead host Estancia.
In South Coast League golf:
Dana Hills 404, Mission Viejo 475--Dana Hills’ Scott Richardson shot a three-over-par 75 at El Niguel to earn medalist honors.
El Toro 401, San Clemente 412--El Toro (9-0, 2-0) was led by medalist Joe Garner, who shot a two-over-par 74 at El Toro Marine Base golf course.
In nonleague golf:
Servite 214, Savanna 241--Jason van der Steen was the medalist at six-over-par 41 at Hacienda golf club in La Habra Heights. Servite is 8-1.
University 211, Foothill 218--Chad Pearson of Foothill shot a three-over-par 39 at Rancho San Joaquin golf course. University (4-2) was led by David Jacobson’s 40.
Marina 189, Tustin 223--Dan Dalton of Marina shot a a two-under-par 33 at Meadowlark golf course in Huntington Beach.
Laguna Beach 190, Paraclete 208--Jonah Tatch shot a one-under-par 31 for Laguna Beach at Ben Brown’s golf course in Laguna Beach.
Orange 407, Loara 419--Sean Baron shot a seven-over-par 75 for Orange in the two-day tournament at Riverview and Dad Miller golf courses.
Cerritos 429, Ocean View 443--Ray Shaw shot a seven-over-par 79 for Ocean View at Lakewood Country Club.
