Five of the 37 National League games postponed by the 32-day spring training lockout have been rescheduled as double-headers.

The NL said today that games originally scheduled for the first four days of the season, April 2-5, have been rescheduled for Oct. 1-3, except for the April 2 San Diego-at-Los Angeles game, now scheduled April 9 at Dodger Stadium.

The games originally scheduled for the first weekend of the season, April 6-8, were rescheduled as double-headers or single-game series on open dates. Originally, only one double-header was on the NL schedule: Chicago at San Francisco on Sunday, July 8.

The Major League Baseball Players Assn. waived scheduling rules contained in the collective bargaining agreement in order for games to be made up. The agreement has rules restricting single-game series and day games after night games when teams must travel certain distances.

The American League said it hopes to announce its reschedulings later this week.

Under the revised schedule, Montreal will play a twi-night double-header at Philadelphia on June 11; the New York Mets will play a double-header at Chicago on June 13; Houston will play a twi-night double-header at Atlanta on July 24, and Cincinnati will play twi-night double-headers at San Diego on July 25 and Sept. 22.

Two games, New York at Montreal on April 13 and San Diego at Cincinnati on April 17, were changed from night games to day games.
