Notes: Leach, a junior, has been to the Southern Section singles final the past two seasons, winning as a freshman and losing to Alejo Mancisidor of Palm Springs last year. Leach was the first freshman to win the title since 1952. Leach, The Times’ Orange County player of the year in his first two seasons, has lost only three sets in his career. The South Coast League features some of the best head-to-head team battles with Dana Hills, El Toro and Mission Viejo fighting for the league’s top spot. Corona del Mar has another talented squad. Sunny Hills and Fountain Valley are two teams to watch.
