LOS ALAMITOS : Eminem Goes for 8th Straight in Sires Stakes

Eminem will be gunning for his eighth straight win when he tackles a rugged field of five in the $20,000 California Sires Stakes for sophomore pacing colts and geldings Saturday night at Los Alamitos.

In post-position order, the field for the night’s feature race is: Intrepid Force, Rick Kuebler in the race bike; Eminem, Rick Plano; Denali’s Thor, Jim Morand; Kindly’s Delight, Serge Masse; Sunrise Superman, Gary Perry, and Morrow Bay, Steve Desomer.

Intrepid Force and Sunrise Superman race coupled in the wagering.

The Sires Stakes for 3-year-old pacing colts and geldings goes as the third race on the program.

Invitational pacers are also in action Saturday night as Dare You To goes for his third straight win against a field that includes Anatolian Story, Vance Lobell, Riviera Hanover, Storm Prince and Power And Glory.

The $15,000 Invitational goes as the eighth race on the 13-race program.

The Fireball Series for colts and geldings has its second leg Saturday night in split $7,500 divisions.

The races will be the 10th and 11th of the night.

Saturday is fan appreciation night at the track, and some concession prices have been reduced.
