PREP ROUNDUP : Orange Lutheran Defeats Brethren in Softball, 16-2

Amy DuPont had three hits and three runs batted in as Orange Lutheran High School defeated visiting Brethren, 16-2, in an Olympic League softball game Monday.

Krista Whelply (2-0) allowed three hits for the Lancers (7-3 overall, 3-2 in league).

In Angelus League golf:

Servite 189, St. Paul 216--Jason van der Steen shot two-under-par 34 for the Friars at Alhambra Municipal Golf Course.

In Orange League golf:

Valencia 206, Brea-Olinda 247--Chris Tidland shot one-under 36 for Valencia (9-0, 2-0) at Alta Vista Country Club.

In Sea View League golf:

University 290, Corona del Mar 297 (13 holes)--David Jacobson shot one-over 53 for University (9-3, 3-1) at Rancho San Joaquin golf course.

In Empire League tennis:

El Dorado 16, Cypress 2--Jamal Ansari swept his matches, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, for host El Dorado (8-3, 2-1).
