3A Division

Vista 10, Bonita Vista 0--Junior Rodney DeLeon (2-3) threw a no-hitter and had three hits for Vista (5-9-1). DeLeon walked three and struck out nine.

Vista second baseman Mike Stevens, a senior captain, broke his leg when he collided with right fielder Ryan Tamburrino in the second inning. The play was Bonita Vista’s best chance at a base hit, but Tamburrino held on to the ball. Stevens, who sat out last year with a broken leg, was nine for 14 at the time of the injury. Vista’s Chris Adams had two RBIs. Bonita Vista fell to 8-6.

Grossmont 9, Fallbrook 0--Rob Roberson hit a bases-loaded single in the fourth inning to begin the scoring for Grossmont (15-1). That was followed by a three-run double by left-fielder Mark Landers, allowing Grossmont to take a 6-0 lead. Grossmont’s Todd Cady went two for four with three RBIs (30 total) and a solo home run (his sixth). Grossmont pitcher Mike Spears (3-0) allowed only one hit in six innings and struck out nine.

Helix 3, Mt. Miguel 2--Chad Young hit a solo home run in the third to help lead Helix, which scored its winning run in the ninth. Eric Nicholson picked up the win, relieving starter David Shipp in the fifth. Mt. Miguel is 3-12.

Granite Hills 16, Morse 4--Ryan O’Coyne (2-2) picked up the victory and helped his cause by hitting a three-run home run in the first and a bases-empty one in the third.

Sweetwater 5, Patrick Henry 1--Raul Sanchez threw a three-hitter and struck out six for Sweetwater. Henry fell to 7-8.

Oceanside 16, Santana 10--Mel Dougles went four for five and Jerry Speedon went four for six to lead Oceanside, which scored five in the six and four in the seventh. Oceanside is 9-2-1.

Valhalla 8, El Camino 2--Tavo Carillo went two for two with two RBIs and Mark Dirkes went two for four with two RBIs and scored four runs for Valhalla (8-8-1). Eric Nielsen (3-1) threw a five hitter and struck out seven to get the win. El Camino fell to 8-5.

Madison 6, San Pasqual 4--Rob Hoffman started the winning rally in the seventh and was two for three with two doubles for Madison (8-6). Jason McCelveny struck out eight and went the distance.

Orange Glen 9, Monte Vista 6--Lance Keller and Brian Kooiman homered in an eight-run for Orange Glen (9-5). Monte Vista fell to 12-4.

San Diego 3, San Dieguito 2--Josh Stepner hit a two-run home run in the fourth to lead San Diego. Cladio Moreno went the distance for the win. Issac Jones went two for three and Nate Fleck had a solo home run for San Dieguito (0-12-1).

2A Division

La Jolla 10, Ramona 7--Justin Chaitin went three for four, scored two runs and had three RBIs to lead La Jolla (8-5), which hung on despite allowing Ramona six runs in the sixth.

Mission Bay 5, Mar Vista 2--Marlon Garninera went three for three and scored two runs to lead Mission Bay. Wyatt Spencer (3-2) picked up the win after coming on in relief in the second inning.

Hilltop 13, University City 1--Chad Mosher went three for four with two doubles and two RBIs and Paul Stojsavojevic went three for three to lead Hilltop (9-4). University City is 4-10.

Escondido 6, Torrey Pines 2--John Cabral went four for four and scored twice for Escondido (5-8).

Kearny 10, San Marcos 4--Scott Goligoski went three for four with two runs scored, two RBIs and two stolen bases for Kearny (7-8). Also for Kearny, Rob Fragoso went two for three with two RBIs and Germaine Matthews went two for four with two runs scored and one RBI. San Marcos is now 8-5.

A Division

St. Augustine 15, Parker 6--Eric Dent went two for three with a triple and two RBIs to lead St. Augustine (6-6). Bryan Cantwell had three RBIs and Jason Alcoser two for St. Augustine.

Coronado 17, West Hills 1--Joel Franklin (1-2) pitched a three-hitter and went four for four with three RBI for (8-5-1).

Clairemont 5, Marian 4--Clairemont scored in the first five innings and made it stand up. David Solonius got the save for Clairemont striking out a batter with two outs and the tying on third base. Marian fell to 4-8.

El Cajon 8, La Jolla Country Day 6--Aaron Rubenson went three for three with three RBIs for La Jolla (4-8-1).

Christian 3, Lincoln 2--Tony Clark went two for three with a single and a double and picked up his first win of the season. David Piester got the save for Christian (3-11).

Hoover 11, Julian 4--Senior Disi Jacobs went three for four with two homers and five RBIs and Kevin Taylor had two triples and two RBIs for Hoover (4-10). Julian pitcher Travis Denmark was handed his first loss of the year, but went two for three with a homer and three RBIs.
