THE SIDELINES : Pittsburgh to Host ’94 All-Stars

PITTSBURGH —
The Pirates, in danger of leaving town five years ago, will play host to the 1994 All-Star Game. The game, to be played July 12, 1994, at the 59,000-seat Three Rivers Stadium, will be the fourth All-Star Game in Pittsburgh. The 1944 and 1959 games were at Forbes Field, and the 1974 game was at Three Rivers Stadium.
This year’s game will be at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Next year’s will be in Toronto, followed by San Diego in 1992 and Baltimore in 1993.
