WHY ARE A&E; SHOWS ON TWICE ON EVENING

Share

Most Arts & Entertainment Network programs air twice each night. That’s because of the complications of cable: The West Coast receives the same programming live as it appears on the East Coast, rather than on a delayed basis a la major TV networks.

So in order for A&E; to air shows in prime time in both coasts, A&E; has been airing them twice nightly.

“That’s going to change,” said Johnson. “We’re going to change,” said Johnson. “We’re going to get a second feed soon so the West Coast is on the same schedule as the East.”
