In another City Eastern League game:
Patrick Henry 12, Serra 5--Mark Strauch had a three-run homer and went three for four and drove in five runs for Patrick Henry (11-9, 5-3).
City Central League
Madison 5, San Diego 2--Mike Jones went two of three for Madison (15-11, 5-7). Jones pitched the entire game, striking out six.
Crawford 6, Hoover 3--Joe McWilliams hit a two-run homer in the first inning for Crawford (14-4, 7-1). Hoover is 9-12, 2-5.
City Harbor League
Clairemont 2, Coronado 1--Antoine Henry went three for three with a run scored, an RBI and two stolen bases (22 total) for Clairemont (12-9, 5-2). Jason Fledderjohn homered in the fourth for Coronado.
City Western League
La Jolla 8, Kearny 4--Brad Kirn hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning for La Jolla (11-8, 3-4). Gary Frank hit two doubles and drove in two runs for La Jolla.
USDHS 15, University City 1--Gavin Millay (three RBIs, four runs scored) and David Sanchez (two RBIs) led sixth-ranked USDHS (16-4, 6-1). UC dropped to 6-13, 1-6.
Metro Conference
Hilltop 2, Chula Vista 1--Sergio Guzman doubled in the fourth inning to tie the game for Hilltop (14-5). Johnny Garibay hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the winning run in the sixth.
Montgomery 4, Castle Park 2--Daniel Barragan hit a bases-loaded single driving in two runs in the top of the seventh for Montgomery. Castle Park is 13-9, 4-3.
Southwest 3, Mar Vista 2--Southwest (8-10, 6-1) scored its three runs in the fifth inning to come back from a two-run deficit.
Avocado League
Oceanside 4, Escondido 3--Angel Torres hit a triple in the 11th inning, the game winning RBI for Oceanside (16-6, 4-1). Torres went two for four with one RBI.
Nonleague
Mission Bay 11, Morse 0--Bob Wasilewski (1-0) and three others combined for a two-hit shutout of Morse (5-11-1). Mike Lowry had two RBIs for host Mission Bay (10-7).
Lincoln 7, St. Augustine 6--James Davis hit a solo home run in the fourth and Donald Anderson added a two-run homer in the fifth for Lincoln (6-12). St. Augustine is 12-9.
Coastal League
Julian 12, Parker 2--Julian freshman Graham Koonce (5-1) struck out 12 and allowed only four hits for the complete-game victory. Julian is 11-4, 5-1.
