Tom Miller, former Colorado basketball coach, has been named coach at Army. Miller played at Army under Bob Knight.

Miller, 41, replaces Les Wothke, who resigned April 7 after eight seasons and a record of 92-135 at West Point.

Miller has a record of 105-164. He was 35-79 at Colorado and 71-85 at Cornell.

In another coaching move, Jack Rohan, who retired as Columbia’s basketball coach in 1974, was rehired after the first two choices turned down the job.

Columbia, which has had only one winning season since 1979, offered the job to Seton Hall assistant coach Rod Baker, a former assistant coach at Columbia. After Baker turned it down, Rochester Coach Mike Neer also rejected it.

Rohan, 58, compiled a 154-161 mark from 1961 to 1974, leading Columbia to its only Ivy League basketball championship in 1968.
