PORTLAND, Ore. — No disciplinary action is planned against Portland Trail Blazers rookie Cliff Robinson for allegedly hitting a policewoman outside a bar, the president of the NBA team said.
Portland officers arrested Robinson early Sunday on three counts of fourth-degree assault and one count of disorderly conduct stemming from an altercation involving several people. The reserve forward was released after being cited at Portland’s Justice Center Jail.
The altercation occurred about six hours after Portland beat Dallas 114-107 to take a 2-0 lead in their best-of-five NBA first-round playoff series.
Trail Blazer President Harry Glickman said Robinson, 23, left Portland on a team plane Sunday afternoon to Dallas, where the third game of the playoff series is tonight.
