Man Killed When He Falls Under Train
A man who apparently fell under a moving freight train he was trying to board in Canyon Country was run over and killed by a rail car, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said Monday.
The body of the unidentified man, believed to be in his 20s, was discovered about 8 p.m. Sunday next to tracks at the Lang Station Road switchyard near the Antelope Valley Freeway, Lt. Harvey Cantor said.
Deputies said the man apparently tried to climb onto the Southern Pacific Railroad train and fell under the wheels of one of the cars.
