CSUN Ranked No. 1 in Division II Softball
Cal State Northridge, winner of 14 of its past 16 games, is the top-ranked softball team in NCAA Division II, according to a poll of coaches. The Lady Matadors are 44-19, having swept Chapman, 13-0 and 9-4, in a doubleheader Wednesday.
Bloomsburg (Pa.) State (38-3) is ranked second, and Cal State Bakersfield (36-9), the defending Division II champion, is third.
In the rankings for West region teams, Bakersfield is second behind Northridge.
