Boy, 16, Wounded in Gang Shooting at High School
A 16-year-old boy was in guarded condition Friday after he was wounded in a gang-related shooting at Grover Cleveland High School in Reseda, authorities said. Earlier in the day, Ortiz told a school police officer that a drive-by shooting might occur at the school.
Steve Ortiz of Los Angeles was hit in the left leg by a bullet as he sat with friends on bleachers at the campus around 2:15 p.m., Principal Ida Mae Windham said. A motive has not been determined.
