In other first-round games:

Granada Hills 3, Banning 2--Shannon Henry scored the winning run on Casey Miller’s grounder in the seventh inning of the 4-A game.

Bonnie Weinberg (4-4) earned the win for Granada Hills (7-4).

Chatsworth 15, Reseda 0--Mara Phillips homered and Laura Roopenian tossed a four-hitter to lead Chatsworth (11-5) in a 4-A game.

Poly 10, Los Angeles 5--Jodi Soto, Tina Thomas, and Delia Aguilar homered to lead host Poly (12-5) in a 3-A game. Soto (12-4), a senior right-hander, overcame six walks that led to five first-inning runs. She allowed just four hits.

Aguilar was two for four with three RBIs and Soto had three hits.

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY LEAGUE

Notre Dame 1, Bell-Jeff 0--Becca Berline allowed two hits and Robyn Ames drove in Roni Eguia with a two-out single in the fourth as host Notre Dame (17-9, 9-1) clinched its third consecutive league title.

Berline, a senior right-hander, struck out five and improved to 15-9.

Alemany 4, Chaminade 1--Melanie Howard (11-3) struck out five and allowed three hits to lead host Alemany (18-5, 8-2).

Krista Gomez was two for three with a run scored and an RBI.

Louisville 8, St. Genevieve 0--Sophomore Sophia Castillo scattered four hits and struck out seven en route to her third shutout in the game at St. Genevieve.

Stephanie Horner and Alycia Schlessinger each had two hits for Louisville (6-12, 2-9).
