Solis Rides Four Winners

Alex Solis rode four winners including the $32,000 allowance feature aboard Kept His Cool on Thursday at Hollywood Park to move the 26-year old native of Panama into a tie for the riding lead at the Inglewood track.

Solis has 15 winners to share the top spot with Julio Garcia. Solis guided Kept His Cool, a three-year old son of Talc, to a nose decision over My Boy Adam in the 1 1/16-mile feature. Kept His Cool paid $24.40 and was timed in 1:41 2/5.

The victory was Kept His Cool’s first in five starts this year, and the $17,600 winner’s share increased his lifetime earnings to $93,893. Officer Hawk finished third in the field of 10. Solis also won the third race with High Hook ($6.60), the sixth with Bud’s Bunny ($24.80) and the seventh with Shady Damsel ($8.40).
