San Diego
A San Diego woman was listed in fair condition Thursday after being hit by a car.
Carol Finch was struck by a white Volvo at Adams and Cherokee avenues about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, said Dave Cohen, a spokesman for the San Diego Police Department.
The man driving the car fled the scene, and Finch managed to walk the few blocks to her home, Cohen said. But, later that evening, Finch’s sister took her to Grossmont Hospital. Finch was transferred to the intensive care unit of Sharp Memorial Hospital with head injuries.
