More than 300 high-stepping horses from all over the country will perform in the sixth annual Charity Fair Horse Show during the first weekend of the Del Mar Fair. Shows will be held at 7:30 p.m. today through Sunday, with a noon matinee Sunday.

Presented by a committee of North County horse people, the event will feature American saddlebred horses, hackney ponies, roadsters, Morgans and Andalusians.

Television celebrities Patrick Duffy of “Dallas” and William Shatner of “Star Trek” will judge and ride in Saturday night’s performance. In a special class, Duffy will judge the horsemanship of local television, radio and newspaper personalities.
