Hospital Auxiliary Awards $7,500 in Grants to 9 Students
LA MIRADA — The Medical Center of La Mirada’s Hospital Auxiliary, in conjunction with the hospital and medical staff, will award nine students, all pursuing a career in health care, a total of $7,500 in various amounts at their individual awards assemblies this month.
The recipients, who were honored at a reception at the hospital June 8, are Rebecca Chandler, Biola University; Theresa Cota, Cal State Long Beach; Michelle Aguilar, Los Angeles Medical School of Nursing; Sandra Guzman, St. Paul High School; Luladaye Befekadu, Cynthia Carter and Kathy Salcedo, La Mirada High School; and June Saiseubyat and Evie Christidis, Norwalk High School.
The Hospital Auxiliary invites participants in the scholarship program or prospective auxiliary members to contact Sandy White, volunteer director, at 946-8282.
