Mike Jones, who co-managed heavyweight contender Alex Stewart and former heavyweight contender Gerry Cooney, died Tuesday. He was 55.
Jones died at his home at Hempstead, N.Y. The cause of death was multiple myloma, a cancer of the blood.
Jones, who was successful in real estate before becoming involved in boxing, also managed former junior welterweight champion Billy Costello and welterweight contender Glenwood (The Real Beast) Brown.
