Die Harder, See Earlier: For weeks, television commercials and trailers have been trumpeting “Die Harder” for the Wednesday premiere of “Die Hard 2,” the sequel to the Bruce Willis 1988 hit action-thriller. But now it seems that Tuesday is the true opening date. The film will be shown at sneak previews at 90% of the 2,000 theaters nationwide where it is scheduled to play. Just like the T-shirts that were sold for the midnight sneak preview of “Dick Tracy,” the sneaks look to be an attempt to boost up the film’s first-week box office figures. But Willis denied this last week on Arsenio Hall’s talk show. He said 20th Century Fox decided to open the film early because so many people “can’t wait” to see it.
