Slain Son Visited Tunnel of Occult, Parents Say
The parents of slain UCLA student Ronald Steven Baker said Friday that their son often visited the Chatsworth railroad tunnel that police claim had recently become a center of occult activity.
Baker, 21, was found stabbed to death in the tunnel last month and police are investigating possible links between his murder and occult activities.
“He and his friends had gone into that tunnel before,” said Gaylon Baker, the young man’s father. The Bakers said they were unaware of their son’s alleged exploration of the occult, although they said he had always been curious about other religions while involved in the Methodist church.
“He was inquisitive and he was always exploring,” his father said.
