El Monte : Council OKs Fence Funds
The City Council voted unanimously to pay for half the cost of erecting a chain-link fence atop a portion of the block wall surrounding Zamora Park.
The remaining half of the estimated $4,000 cost will be paid by El Monte resident Patrick Quan, who owns a 24-unit apartment complex next to the park and west of Maxson Road. Quan requested the fence to prevent broken windows, wall and roof damage and burglary and vandalism that he said resulted from activity in the park.
