Renovations at the 3960 Normal St. field office will cost an estimated $305,000 and involve the removal of asbestos and improvements to the building’s exterior, air conditioning, heating and restrooms, said DMV spokeswoman Gina McGuiness. The building was built in 1950.

The field office’s 42 employees will be transferred to other DMV offices during the renovation, McGuiness said.
