Bernson’s Loyalty With Developer

Regarding your article July 4, “Bernson Reveals Plans for Porter Ranch School,” please tell me, who is Bernson working for? Is he working for the people in his 12th District in the north San Fernando Valley, or is he working as a lobbyist for the Porter Ranch developer?

Over six months ago I wrote Bernson’s office about a traffic problem on my street. I still have not gotten an answer. All I get are delays and misinformation from his staff. I have talked to other people in the neighborhood who have called Bernson’s office about a problem, and they have gotten the same treatment. At the same time, I read almost weekly about Bernson’s efforts to push through this huge Porter Ranch development. How is this development going to help the people in his district? I do not know of anyone in his district who wants it.

Why is Bernson working so hard for Porter Ranch? The obvious question is how much is Bernson being paid in contributions from this developer? It just amazes me that an elected official can thumb his nose at the people he is supposed to represent and at the same time run his tail off for a developer who wants to develop in his district--and get away with it.
