Traughber, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound fullback headed for Arizona State, rushed for a game-high 75 yards in 19 carries and scored on a one-yard plunge in the second quarter that accounted for the West’s only touchdown in a 14-9 loss.

Illinois-bound quarterback J. J. O’Laughlin of Glendora High was chosen as the East MVP after leading his team to its third Hall of Fame victory in the past four years.
