SIMI VALLEY : Man Arrested in Shooting Incident
A 21-year-old man who allegedly fired a gun in an apartment complex during a fight with a female acquaintance was arrested Monday morning and released on bail in the afternoon, authorities said.
Eric Kilven of Simi Valley was held on suspicion of discharging a firearm in a grossly negligent manner, carrying a partly concealed weapon and carrying a loaded weapon, said Sgt. Larry Twichell of the Simi Valley Police Department.
Kilven was released from the Ventura County Jail about 1:30 p.m. Monday on $5,000 bail, said Sgt. Cole McDaniel of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
Police arrived at the 5500 block of Cochran Street about 2:45 a.m. Monday after receiving several 911 calls about the shots, and they found Kilven walking in the area, Twichell said.
