Artesia : Ordinance Allows Fees for Controlling Unruly Parties
- Share via
Loud parties and unruly gatherings that sheriff’s deputies must respond to more than once will cost the party-givers law enforcement service fees, according to a recently passed city ordinance in Artesia.
People will be charged for the amount of time and the number of deputies needed to bring the situation under control. They also will be liable for any damages to property and injuries to officers.
Artesia contracts with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for law enforcement services. The City Council adopted the ordinance by a unanimous vote.
