Dickerson Likely to Miss Opener
Eric Dickerson probably will miss the Indianapolis Colts’ season opener, but should be ready to play by the end of September, his doctor said Tuesday.
Orthopedic surgeon Tom Parr said Dickerson should be able to return to the Colts in three to four weeks. Indianapolis opens its season at Buffalo on Sept 9.
Parr predicted Dickerson’s injured left hamstring would be almost fully recovered when he returns to the Colts and that the running back would need less than a week of practice to regain his sharpness. “We hope it changes for the shorter. I could be off two weeks either way,” Parr said.
