The Cleveland Browns signed former New York Jet quarterback Pat Ryan to a two-year contract.
Ryan, 34, played 12 seasons with the Jets, completing 354 of 631 passes for 4,222 yards and 31 touchdowns with 31 interceptions, mostly in reserve.
“The reality is, (Ryan) is coming here to compete with Mike Pagel and two rookie quarterbacks,” a team spokesman said.
