2 Men Sentenced in Kidnapings, Assaults
A Torrance Superior Court judge Monday sentenced two Lennox men to prison for kidnaping and sexually assaulting a cellist as she left an El Camino College concert rehearsal and for abducting and trying to rape a Hawthorne woman.
Judge Cecil Mills sentenced Francisco Morales, 26, to 36 years and Jose Trujillo to 25 years. The pair pleaded no contest to staging two kidnapings in three days last March.
On March 22, the pair forced a 28-year-old Hawthorne woman into her car and ordered her to drive around Hawthorne and Lennox for eight hours. She escaped after they forced her to take them to her home. Three days later, the two men attacked a 23-year-old woman in a parking lot at El Camino College. They set her free after 18 hours.
