Floyd, Phoenix Center in ‘89, Signs With Gulls

The San Diego Gulls of the International Hockey League Tuesday signed their eighth player, Larry Floyd, a 29-year-old center who scored 39 goals and added 40 assists for the Phoenix Roadrunners last season.
The team has until Sept. 20, the day training camp begins, to fill out the rest of its roster. That’s the date training begins.

Ronnie Peterson, who has coached the boys’ team at El Capitan High for the past five years, was named head coach at Christian Heritage College. Peterson, 26, played collegiate soccer at Christian Heritage’s arch-rival, Point Loma Nazarene College, before transfering to San Diego State.
