Oscar for Sale: Always wanted an Oscar? Alongside the job and airline ticket ads in The Times classifieds on Wednesday was a small ad for an Oscar. The Oscar for cinematography for “The Good Earth” is up for sale for those with “sincere offers.” When called, a Chicago woman who would not give her name said she is selling the Oscar to help her out of financial difficulties. It belonged to cinematographer Karl Freund. The woman said she received it from a friend who bought it at a flea market. She wants about $20,000.
