FREEWAY REPAIRS : Caltrans Issues Advisory on Week’s Repair Sites for Motorists to Avoid

Caltrans advises motorists that it plans the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations listed below are keyed to the nearest city or cities and are spotted on the map by number.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

1. East Los Angeles: Southbound No. 1 lane; Humphreys Avenue to Santa Ana Freeway (5) and Southbound Long Beach Freeway (710) connector to Southbound Santa Ana Freeway (5); Saturday, 5 a.m to noon; bridge rail repair.

2. Long Beach: Northbound ramp; Atlantic Avenue on-ramp; Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m to 1:30 p.m.; bridge repair.

POMONA FREEWAY (60)

3. East Los Angeles: Westbound ramp; southbound Atlantic Boulevard on-ramp; Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; landscaping.

4. Montebello: Eastbound No. 5 lane; Atlantic Boulevard to Wilcox Avenue; Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; drain cleaning.

5. Monterey Park: Westbound No. 1 lane; Atlantic Boulevard to Indiana Street; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; crack seal repair.

6. South El Monte: Westbound No. 1 lane; San Gabriel River Freeway (605) interchange to Peck Road; Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; drain cleaning.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

7. La Mirada: Northbound No. 4 lane; Artesia Boulevard to Rosecrans Avenue; Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; landscaping.

8. Santa Fe Springs: Southbound No. 4 lane; Florence Avenue over-crossing to Orr & Day Road and Florence Avenue on-ramp; Tuesday and Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; landscaping.
