A bowling alley attendant was shot in the head during a robbery early Monday in which two men in their 20s or 30s escaped with $900 from the Bowling Center in the 6300 block of College Boulevard.
Jose Larios, an employee at the bowling alley, was shot by one of the robbers as they left the building. Larios, in his 20s, was not seriously hurt, San Diego police said.
The robbery occurred about 2 a.m. as employees were closing up the business.
One suspect was described as a black man about 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a mustache and short Afro haircut who wore a black jacket. The other robber was described as a thin black man about 6 feet, 3 inches tall, clean shaven, with a short Afro haircut, and wearing a brown and white sweater.
