Despite its 13-0 opening victory over Baylor, Nebraska dropped three spots to No. 10 in the Associated Press college football poll.
Miami, which starts its season at Brigham Young Saturday, remained No. 1, followed by Notre Dame, while Auburn and Florida State tied for third, and Michigan, which opens against Notre Dame on Sept. 15, moved up one spot to fifth.
Colorado dropped from fifth to sixth after a 31-31 tie with Tennessee, followed by USC, which moved from ninth to seventh with a 34-16 victory over Syracuse. Tennessee remained No. 8; Clemson advanced to ninth after routing Cal State Long Beach, 59-0.
