NEW YORK — Embassy Lobell, winner of a heat in the Hambletonian and overall runner-up in the harness racing classic, has been sold to a Claude Guedj of France.
Previous owner Lou Guida, who will continue to manage Embassy Lobell for the remainder of the year, said today the sale price was in seven figures.
Guida said Guedj is re-syndicating the colt in Europe, and will take control next year when Embassy Lobell is expected to be shipped abroad.
