49ers to Face Aggies Without Sean Foster
Cal State Long Beach will probably be without Sean Foster for Saturday’s Big West Conference opener at Utah State.
Foster, the 49ers’ top receiver, injured his knee in the 59-0 loss at Clemson.
“It’s very discouraging to go 3,000 miles for a money game and lose your best players,” Coach George Allen said. “We took a physical beating.”
Linebacker Pepper Jenkins, the team’s best defensive player, injured his shoulder against Clemson but is expected to play against Utah State.
Utah State lost its opener last week to Utah, 19-0. Last season, the 49ers defeated the Aggies, 31-18.
