PREP ROUNDUP : Brea Wins in Water Polo on Late Goal

Scott Estrada scored with 46 seconds left to give Brea-Olinda High School a 10-9 victory Friday over Canyon in the second round of the Valencia water polo tournament.

Estrada, a junior who scored two fourth-quarter goals, put in a rebound after Kyle Kilpatrick’s shot bounced off the cross bar. Kilpatrick had three goals for Brea-Olinda (2-0).

In other tournament games:

Dana Hills 9, Esperanza 6--Brett Bowen had four goals and Alan Herrmach added three for Dana Hills (2-0).

Saddleback 6, Valencia 5 (OT)--Oscar Valenzuela scored his third goal 50 seconds into the overtime period. Valencia scored four times in the second quarter but couldn’t hold on to its 4-1 halftime lead.

In nonleague girls’ tennis:

Woodbridge 14, Mission Viejo 4--Host Woodbridge was led by Talia Emery, who swept to a 6-3, 6-2, 6-0 victory. In doubles, Julia Brownlee and Jennifer Rogers swept, 6-4, 6-3, 6-2, and Net Tran and Anne Risquez swept, 6-1, 6-3, 6-2, for Woodbridge.

Rosary 14, Canyon 4--Visiting Rosary was led by the No. 3 doubles team of Kelly Krajacic and Ashley Aitkin, which swept, 6-3, 6-0, 6-1.
