Pickup Driver Sought in Bicyclist’s Death

The driver of a pickup truck that struck and killed a bicyclist near Palmdale was being sought Monday by the California Highway Patrol, officials said.

Officer Miguel Siordia said a 28-year-old Littlerock man was fatally injured Sunday while riding west alongside Avenue T near East 106th Street.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was hit by a lime-green flatbed pickup, Siordia said. The driver kept going after striking the victim about 6:30 p.m., even when a motorist who witnessed the accident drove alongside him and told him to go back to the accident scene, Siordia said.
