Sophomore running back Jamal Farmer has been suspended indefinitely by Hawaii Coach Bob Wagner.

Farmer, the team’s leading rusher last season, was suspended for repeatedly missing practices, and for conduct unbecoming a Hawaii athlete, according to Honolulu television station KGMB.

Farmer, who helped Granada Hills High win the 1987 City Section 4-A Division championship, missed two practices this was suspended for one game last season for what Wagner at the time called “chronic” irresponsibility.

Farmer rushed for 986 yards and set an NCAA record for freshmen with 18 touchdowns last season.
