More F. D. Roberts Officials Plead Guilty: The former officials of F. D. Roberts Securities Inc. pleaded guilty to federal felony charges in one of the largest penny stock frauds to date. Fred Galiardo of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Alan Lieb of Pine Brook, N.J., pleaded guilty to federal racketeering, securities, mail and wire fraud charges; John Perfetti, of Bayville, N.Y., admitted to securities and mail fraud. Galiardo, who was F. D. Roberts’ chairman, and Lieb, a co-owner of the company, face 20 years in prison and multimillion-dollar fines. Perfetti, a former executive vice president, faces up to 10 years in prison and a similar fine.
