Hoover 21, South Pasadena 20--Halfback Alex Dixon’s 82-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Rene Gabri late in the fourth quarter gave Hoover the victory at South Pasadena.

The play overshadowed the performance of South Pasadena quarterback Eric Shear, who completed 17 of 21 passes for 171 yards and one touchdown.

Hoover rushed for just four yards but relied on the arm of Gabri (10 of 22, 217 yards, two touchdowns) and the leg of David Bronner, who kicked two field goals in the first half.
