David Wingate, a guard for the San Antonio Spurs, has been accused of raping a 17-year-old at a party in Maryland.
Wingate, 26, also is charged with battery and a fourth-degree sexual offense.
Howard County police said Wingate committed the rape Sunday at a Columbia, Md., apartment he rented while staying in the area.
