Pasadena : Employment Practices Panel
City efforts to improve employment practices and policies for minorities and women will be overseen by Directors William Paparian, Chris Holden and Kathryn Nack.
On Tuesday, the Board of Directors voted to reactivate a subcommittee that had supervised preparation of a study by PeopleWorks, a consulting firm that outlined city weaknesses and provided suggestions for improvement. Paparian, Holden and Nack were on that committee.
PeopleWorks had recommended that the city base its hiring on the percentage of minorities in Pasadena. The board voted to reactivate the subcommittee to oversee those efforts after Holden voiced concerns about the city’s commitment to the policy.
