NARAS Counterpart South of the Border?: 2 National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences officials will meet with recording artists in Mexico City this week to the discuss possible development of an international academy for Latin music. The Recording Academy, which presents the annual Grammy Awards, is beginning a six-month feasibility study of the idea. Academy President Michael Greene will outline the plan to artists and music industry representatives in Mexico City on Tuesday and in Brazil later this year.
