A shooting rampage in a fast-food restaurant, a nearby grocery store and a taxi left two people dead and two others seriously wounded, police said today.

Delaney G. Marks, 34, of Berkeley was arrested about 12:30 a.m. today, hours after four people were shot in three separate incidents by apparently the same man, authorities said.

According to Oakland police, a man walked into a Taco Bell restaurant Wednesday night and shot the cashier, who was reported in critical condition.

A few minutes later, a man believed to be the same gunman entered the Gourmet Market about two blocks from the restaurant, where he shot two men, one of whom later died.

Shortly after the shootings in Oakland, a Yellow Cab driver who had been shot in the face stopped at a fast-food restaurant in nearby Alameda, where employees called for help. He died half an hour later, police said. He picked up his last fare near the Oakland market.
