Rally to Oppose U.S. Role in Persian Gulf
Local groups opposed to U.S. military intervention in the Persian Gulf plan a rally Saturday to coincide with similar rallies around the nation.
The rally--dubbed “Stop U.S. War for Oil-Bring Back Our Sons and Daughters”--will be noon to 3 p.m. at Leimert Park in South Los Angeles, near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard at Vernon Avenue.
Touted as a “massive worldwide mobilization,” the rally is being sponsored by the Los Angeles Coalition Against U.S. Intervention in the Middle East, the Alliance for Our Common Future, L.A., and the Middle East Crisis Coalition.
