Lakers Go to San Diego to Play Warriors; Clippers Meet Trail Blazers in Sports Arena
With Coach Mike Dunleavy promising to play this one “like an exhibition is supposed to be played,” the Lakers will meet the Golden State Warriors tonight at 7:30 in San Diego.
The Lakers are 3-l in exhibitions against NBA opponents, having used their regulars and top substitutes heavily. Magic Johnson and Byron Scott sat out Monday’s practice with bumps and bruises, and James Worthy missed Tuesday’s drill.
X-rays of Larry Drew’s left knee were negative, and he will accompany the team.
The Clippers will play the Portland Trail Blazers in an exhibition game tonight at 7:30 at the Sports Arena.
